SURPRISE, Ariz. – The Fresno Pacific men's tennis team took on Concordia in the consolation bracket of the PacWest Conference tournament on Friday morning, as the Sunbirds hung tough with the Eagles before ultimately falling 4-1. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Sunbirds opened the match by taking the doubles point as Ben Cronau teamed with Joshua Wong to take #1 doubles 6-4. 
• Gregor Kliimask and Martin Ramirez secured the point for the Birds, taking #2 doubles 7-6.
• Ramirez took the opening set of #2 singles but couldn't hang on for the match win falling 2-6, 6-2, 6-2. 
• Sven Bangert was battling in #5 singles, but the match went unfinished as the Eagles took matches on six, one, four and two. 

UP NEXT

• The Blue and Orange will compete for seventh place in the first PacWest Conference tournament since returning to FPU. The Sunbirds take on MSU Denver at 9 a.m. tomorrow morning.
