SAN FRANCISCO – The Fresno Pacific University women's tennis team wrapped up their regular season with a match against Academy of Art on Saturday. Both teams battled, but the Urban Knights outlasted the Sunbirds 4-3.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Alice Di Matteo and Sanne Brull were excellent in doubles, picking up a 6-4 win in the second flight.
• The Urban Knights picked up the other two doubles matches, taking the point into singles play.
• Lea Falentin was superb in singles, taking the second flight 6-2, 6-4.
• Di Matteo was strong in singles action as well, picking up the win 7-5, 6-2 in the third flight.
• Alice Marques picked up the final point of the day for the Sunbirds, going 4-6, 6-2, 6-4 in #4 singles.

UP NEXT

• Both the men's and women's team eyes the PacWest Conference Championships in Surprise, Ariz. Next week. The tournament runs from April 20 through April 23.
