FRESNO, Calif. – For the second straight match, the Fresno Pacific women's tennis team knocked off Dominican, this time shutting the Penguins out with a 7-0 victory for their fourth win in a row.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- After dropping the No. 3 doubles match 6-0, the Sunbirds were able to grab the doubles point after Alice Di Matteo and Sanne Brull won the No. 2 match 6-2, followed by a 6-3 win from Maria Borodii and Lea Falentin in the No. 1 match.
- Borodii knocked off Aurey Rafols – the 45th ranked player in the nation – 6-2, 6-3 in the No. 1 match. It's the second straight win for Borodii over Rafols this season, never dropping a set in the two matches.
- Falentin wasn't too far behind her with a 7-6, 6-0 win in the No. 2 match, giving the Sunbirds a 3-0 lead.
- Di Matteo locked up the winning point in the No. 3 match after a 6-1, 6-3 win, and Alice Marques locked up the No. 4 match with a 6-4, 6-1 win.
- FPU finished off the sweep when Elise Leik won 6-3, 6-2 in the No. 6 singles match, followed by a 6-4, 7-6 win from Brull in the No. 5 match.
UP NEXT
- The Blue and Orange will host the No. 7 team in the nation Azusa Pacific on Friday. The match is scheduled for a 9:30 a.m. start time.
