SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – The Fresno Pacific women's tennis team played its third match in four days on Wednesday, taking on the No. 7 ranked Hawaii Pacific Sharks on a neutral court and falling 4-0.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Sharks were able to take the doubles point, sweeping the No. 1 match 6-0 along with a 6-3 win in the No. 3 match, leaving the No. 2 unfinished.
- HPU was able to win in the top-three seeded matches to get the win. They won the No. 1 match 6-0, 6-1; the No. 2 match 6-0, 3-6, 6-0; and the No. 3 match 6-2, 6-0.
- The two teams played clinch rather than the full seven-point match due to time constraints, which gave HPU the 4-0 win.
