HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Sunbirds started the day off hot in doubles, taking all three matches 6-3.
- Sanne Brull earned the first singles point of the afternoon after not dropping a single game, winning 6-0, 6-0.
- Elise Leik followed suit, only dropping one game in the first set, but winning six straight to take the second set and earn the second singles point.
- Leah Falentin gave the Sunbirds a 3-0 lead after winning 6-1, 6-2.
- Mariia Borodii won her first set 6-2 but had to grind out a 7-6 win in the second set for the fourth FPU singles point.
- Alice Di Matteo took care of business to earn the fifth singles point and sixth overall, winning 6-3, 6-4.
- Alice Marques closed things out for the Sunbirds, winning 6-3, 6-4 to get the win for FPU.
