Sunbirds Fall in First Hawaii Matchup

HONOLULU, HI. – The Fresno Pacific women's basketball team fell 73-70 in Hawaii on Sunday against Hawaii Pacific in a hard-fought matchup, in their third road game in five days.

QUOTABLE

"A few key defensive lapses in the fourth quarter did us in tonight. We got all the shots we wanted, and had a few more fallen, it would've been a different story. Regardless of the misses, it's our defense that must be there to get us a win and ultimately, when it mattered most, it failed us. A late scratch for Maesyn flexed our lineup a bit, but I thought we responded in filling for her energy and rebounding. We have another game in a few days, so there's no time to dwell. I'm excited for another opportunity to prove ourselves on Tuesday." – head coach Tim Beauregard
