FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno Pacific baseball team took the series against No. 25 Chico State on Saturday with a 7-2 win in game one of the double-header but fell short 3-0 in the final game of the series.
QUOTABLE
"This was a great weekend. That's a great ball club, and they are year in and year out, so I think winning the series says a lot about our club. I really like this team a lot. I've been saying that from the beginning. I think we've gotten better every game. It's been good to see our kids keep working, and there's nothing like getting into those games, getting into competition, and seeing who comes up big. I like these guys a lot." – head coach Oscar Hirschkorn
