FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno Pacific women's tennis team hosted No. 25 Academy of Art on Thursday and earned a big 4-3 win in PacWest Conference action.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The No. 3 doubles pair of Elise Leik and Alice Marquez got things going with a smooth 6-0 win.
- Alice Di Matteo and Sanne Brull sealed the doubles point with a 6-3 win, and Maria Borodii and Lea Falentin locked down the sweep with a 7-5 victory to give the Sunbirds the 1-0 lead.
- Brull was able to get the first singles point for FPU with a 6-0, 6-4 straight-sets win, followed by a 6-2, 6-4 win from Leik.
- Di Matteo sealed the win for the Blue and Orange by grinding out a 6-1, 2-6, 6-4 win.

The Sunbirds will be back in PacWest action on Saturday when they host Point Loma at 3 p.m.
