FPU Closes Out APU Twilight as Focus Turns to Nationals

RESULTS

AZUSA, Calif. – The FPU track and field team wrapped up the final non-championship meet of the season on Saturday, taking part in the APU Twilight hosted by Azusa Pacific.

HIGHLIGHTS FROM THE WEEKEND:
Friday

In her final collegiate race, senior Jojo Zorn broke the school record in the 10K by 77 seconds, surpassing a record that stood since 2003. Her time of 36:37.95 falls just short of an NCAA national provisional standard, but she leaves the Blue and Orange in second and third all-time in the 5K and the 1500 respectively.
Two-time PacWest shot put champion Christy Norris-Dow threw a personal record with a mark of 13.98m (47'7.75") to add distance to her spot as the 6th best in FPU history in her final performance as a Sunbird.
PacWest Field Freshman of the Year Moe Bradley added to his PR in the shot put in his last effort of the season, finishing second in the contest with a mark of 16.21m (53'2") to extend his mark as the 4th best shot putter in FPU history to date.

Saturday

The women's 4x100 relay team of Kyra Bailey, Kyla Richardson, Danae Manibog and Madison Flores tied the school record with a time of 46.10
In the 400 hurdles, Gianna Dickson (61.97, 2nd place) and Cullin Bates (54.83, 5th place) each picked up a personal best.
Richardson provided the performance of the day, running the 200 in just 24.05 to finish in fourth place. That mark is a provisional standard for Nationals, and it places her second all-time at Fresno Pacific.

UP NEXT:

National qualifiers are set to be announced next week, with the NCAA National Championships scheduled to take place from May 27-29 in Allendale, Michigan.
