Game Recap: Women's Water Polo |

Sunbirds Battle No. 13 Tigers Before Dropping Two Matches

STOCKTON, Calif. – The Fresno Pacific women's water polo team traveled to Stockton, Calif. to take on Pacific in a pair of matches on Sunday afternoon. The no. 13 team in the nation proved to be a tough matchup, as the Sunbirds fell 22-8 and 17-12. 
 
GAME 1 | HOW IT HAPPENED:   GAME 2 | HOW IT HAPPENED:  
  • A slow start proved costly for the Sunbirds, as they trailed 7-2 at the break.
  • The 'Birds bounced back in the second half, matching the 13th best team in the nation with 10 goals in the half.
  • Zaninovich racked up five points on the day, leading the team with three goals while dishing out two assists.
  • The Blue and Orange received multiple goals from Dinis and Kisling, who scored two goals each.
  • Bailee Poole was in goal for the 'Birds in game two, making nine saves on the day.
