LA MIRADA, Calif. – The Fresno Pacific women's tennis team made the trip to the Southern California to take on Biola on Monday. Lea Falentin and Alice Di Matteo picked up singles wins for the Sunbirds, but the Eagles emerged on top 5-2.

QUOTABLE:  

• "I was really impressed with Alice and Daimy during doubles, but we didn't get the results were looking for from our other pairings. We've been working hard to start our matches strong but missed that today. We'll work toward cleaning up our unforced errors and be able to work patterns and construct points. We need to start thinking two and three shots ahead like a chess match. We were inconsistent today and beat ourselves. We will learn from today, pick ourselves up and move forward." – head coach George Rodriguez

 
HOW IT HAPPENED:  

• Falentin competed in the second flight of singles, knocking off Brooke Fager decisively 6-2, 6-0.
• In the third flight, Di Matteo took care of Gaby Carbajal by scores of 6-3, 6-3.
• Alice Marques and Daimy Paula found success in doubles action, taking the third doubles flight 6-1.
