Game Recap: Women's Water Polo |

Offense Stalls as Sunbirds Tripped up by Cougars

GLENDORA, Calif. – The Fresno Pacific women's water polo team stumbled on the road on Friday, falling 9-4 at the hands of #20 Azusa Pacific.   
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • The Cougars started the scoring, with Hannah Bradley providing two scores in the first three minutes of the game. 
  • Hannah Gish got the Sunbirds on the scoreboard, and Zaylynn Mangrum tied the game with 2:23 left in the first. 
  • APU added two scores before the half, including one just before the horn to make it a 4-2 game.
  • The Brick and Black started the second half with five straight goals, but Gish and Jacques both found the back of the net in the final minute for the 'Birds. 
 
UP NEXT:
  • The Sunbirds return to action on Sunday, April 11, when they are set for two games against University of Pacific in Stockton.
