Game Recap: Women's Water Polo |

Slow Starts Bite ‘Birds against Lancers

RIVERSIDE, Calif. – Slow starts hindered the Fresno Pacific women's water polo team, as they battled California Baptist before ultimately falling to the Lancers 15-12 and 12-6 on Saturday afternoon.

QUOTABLE
"I was really happy with our performance today. We had a two-minute run of bad passes at the end of the first quarter and allowed CBU to go on a four-goal run. After that we went goal for goal with them for the rest of the game. The girls showed a lot of grit and determination. It shows the growth we have made in the last couple weeks. Alex Jasso and Camryn Berra played a great defensive game for us. They really stepped up in a big way. In our second game we got everyone time and experience. It was nice to see the freshman get some quality minutes in the game. It's important for them to be ready for conference championships. Bailee Poole and Jet Salazar-Lopez had some big saves. It's exciting to be that strong in the goalie position. Now we turn our focus to Azusa."– head coach Bryan Suhovy
