FRESNO, Calif. -  The Fresno Pacific women's soccer team welcomed Westmont College to Ramirez Field on Friday afternoon, defeating Westmont 1-0 behind a first-minute goal off the foot of senior Alexis Macias.

SCORING:  
·       (0:28) Madilyn Hernandez played the ball up to Tori De Leon, who connected with Alexis Macias inside the box. Macias slotted just inside the post on the lower shelf past a diving Westmont keeper for her second score of the season.  
 
 STATS FROM THE GAME:  
·       Westmont outshot FPU by a margin of 13-8, including a 5-4 mark on frame. 
·       Warrior keeper Gabi Haw left the game with an injury 10 minutes in, while backup Kailey Meyer recorded a pair of saves off the bench. 
·       Chiara Soergel recorded a season-high four saves between the posts for the Blue and Orange. 
 
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:  
·       Soergel has delivered a clean sheet in each of her three starts this season. 
·       Both of Macias' goals so far have held up as game-winners. 
·       FPU has started 3-0 for the first time in program history. 
·       The Sunbirds one shutout away from matching last season's total.
