QUOTABLE:

  • "It was good to be playing again. We were able to compete well, despite the interrupted season that took away some team rhythm. We had a chance to win it with five minutes left in regulation, but we needed to manage the lead better to earn the result we wanted." - Jaime Ramirez

SCORING:

  • (8:01) Amani Williams started the scoring off a free kick in the ninth minute, slotting just inside the far post.
  • (21:02) After a couple of deflections, Fellipe Souza got the Sunbirds on the board from inside the box.
  • (49:17) Four minutes into the second half, Elvis Mensah connected with Gilly Miller, who once again put the Urban Knights in front.
  • (70:33) An attempted clearance off a set piece found the foot of Allen Escalante, and the Walla Walla, Wash. native pulled FPU even with a jumping back heel score.
  • (81:16) D'Andre Renteria found the back of the net less than 11 minutes later, ricocheting the ball off the ART U keeper to give FPU a 3-2 lead.
  • (85:49) Adrian Cekala connected on a penalty kick goal for the final equalizer of the game.
  • (98:46) Cekala struck again in the overtime period, recording the game-winner on a shot to the far post from the corner of the box.
