SAN RAFAEL, Calif. – The Fresno Pacific women's tennis team made the trip to the Bay Area on Saturday, defeating PacWest Conference foe Dominican 7-0. The Blue and Orange are now 2-0 against league opponents this season. 
 
QUOTABLE:  

• "In doubles, we still have opportunities to keep improving, and we need to learn to keep the pressure from start to finish on our opponents. In singles, it was great to watch the entire team play a more aggressive style of game. Our girls really dictated rallies and took the opportunity to attack when the time presented itself. They are learning to effectively construct points. This is what I've been waiting to see from this team." – head coach George Rodriguez

 
HOW IT HAPPENED:  

• The Sunbirds earned the doubles point after the duo of Sanne Brull and Alice Di Matteo claimed the second flight over Dominican's Kamar Alajeely and Kaitlyn Nguyen. 
• Lea Falentin was the first to wrap up her singles match, defeating Nguyen 6-0, 6-2 on Court 2 to give FPU a 2-0 advantage. 
• Brull followed with a 6-1, 6-0 victory in the fifth flight, and Di Matteo clinched the match with a 6-2, 6-2 win on Court 3. 
• Daimy Paula, Mariia Borodii and Alice Marques closed out the day with wins in the sixth, first and fourth flights respectively.
