STOCKTON, Calif. – The Fresno Pacific women's tennis team traveled to Stockton to take on Pacific on Sunday, but the Sunbirds were hit with the 7-0 loss. Each of FPU's three matches this year have come against NCAA Division I opponents.

HOW IT HAPPENED:  

• The Tigers earned the doubles point, but only after the 'Birds forced the second and third flights to a tiebreaker. Alice Marques and Daimy Paula teamed up for a 7-6 win in #3 doubles.
• Every Sunbird took at least one game from their opponent in singles action on Sunday, with Marques taking the opening set in the fifth flight. 
• Alice Di Matteo played Elise Frigout tight in #3 singles, falling 7-5 in the second set. 

 
UP NEXT:  

• The Sunbirds will return to the court on Saturday, when they head to the Bay Area to take on Academy of Art. The match is set to begin at 1:00 p.m.
