FPU Falls in Final Match of the Season

OAKLAND, Calif. – The Fresno Pacific University volleyball team played their final match of the 2021 season against Holy Names on Saturday night. Fueled by the excitement of their senior night, the Hawks rode the energy to a 3-0 (25-22, 25-23, 25-22) victory over the Sunbirds.

 QUOTABLE

"Today was hard. This is the best I have ever seen Holy Names play. It was their senior night, and they were on fire. We are proud of the way that our team fought back all match long. Our senior libero and captain, Chantel Montayre, was incredible for us on defense. Senior Lauren Ornbaun was also a huge source of consistency on serve receive and defense and her leadership is always amazing. We are proud of our entire team for continuing to work hard to help us build this program. Special shout out to our seniors Mikayla Kennedy, Montayre, and Ornbaun. They are incredible leaders on and off the court and will be deeply missed." – head coach Shasta Millhollin.
