De Leon and Hernandez Net Goals for the Sunbirds against Biola

FRESNO, Calif. – Tori De Leon and Madilyn Hernandez scored goals for the Fresno Pacific women's soccer team on Saturday night against Biola, but it wasn't enough as the Eagles took the PacWest Conference match 4-2 at Ramirez Field.

  • "It's really a tale of two halves. We gave up a couple of early goals, and then had a c hance to reorganize. My hope is that we'd be able to keep it at 1-0 and get the equalizer. It didn't happen tonight, but we proved that we're able to generate and create chances. We were able to get several players into the match and see what they can do for us. HOW IT HAPPENED
  • (6:11) Mason Stansberry put the Eagles on the board with her first goal of the season. Halie Jamir was credited with the assist.
  • (32:20) Jazmin Montalvo added to the Biola lead with a goal that was once again assisted by Jamir.
  • (49:37) Jamir scored Biola's third goal of the match, putting her team up 3-0.
  • (53:02) Early in the second half, De Leon created a chance and scored for the Sunbirds.
  • (59:24) Montalvo scored her second goal of the game, this time assisted by Frances Andrade.
  • (69:36) Hernandez scored her second goal in as many games off an assist from Maiya-Ann Serrao.
