SAN FRANCISCO – The Fresno Pacific women's soccer team traveled to San Francisco to take on Academy of Art on Saturday afternoon. The Sunbirds scored goals in each half, and stout defense led by Birgitta Eggertsdottir lifted the Sunbirds over the Urban Knights in a 2-0 shutout.

"From the beginning we were positive in our attack, scoring an early game. We sustained the attack and were able to earn a second goal. Makayla Montoya earned her first collegiate goal.  Brigitta earned a clean sheet with the combined effort of our defense anchored by Juliet Hardy and Ciana Rivera. Great win for the Sunbirds." - interim head coach Jaime Ramirez said.
