Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Sunbirds Shutout Hawaii Hilo 1-0

FRESNO, Calif. – Fellipe Souza's second half goal proved to be the game-winner as the Fresno Pacific University men's soccer team shutout Hawaii Hilo 1-0 on Tuesday night.

QUOTABLE

  • "We have a great tradition and history against this team. They're feisty, we know it's not easy. What's most important to us is that we got the shut out. We didn't make it easy on ourselves with some unnecessary fouls. However, we're a team that needs three points and we got them. We got to see some minutes from several players. Our newcomers are picking it up and contributing quite a bit and we got the goal from our veteran in Fellipe Souza." – head coach Jaime Ramirez

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • (59:24) Souza broke a scoreless tie when he got a one-on-one opportunity that he did not miss. He beat the keeper low and to the left to put the Sunbirds up 1-0.
