FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno Pacific University volleyball team made quick work of the visiting Dominican Penguins on Saturday afternoon, winning in straight sets 3-0 (25-22, 25-17, 25-20).
QUOTABLE
"Today was a big day for us as we continue to hunt for Pac West wins. Dominican is a scrappy team with incredible defense that regularly steals sets from Pac West opponents. Our goal was to win in 3 today and we did just that. I am proud of the overall team effort holding Dominican to a .098 hitting percentage and racking up 10 aces. Our outside hitters
Corinne Acosta and
Lauren Wamsley did a particularly great job for us offensively.
Catie Speas also ran out offense beautifully." - head coach
Shasta Millhollin.
