LA JOLLA, Calif. – The Fresno Pacific University men's water polo team traveled to #13 UC San Diego for a Friday night match against the Tritons, as they defended their home pool, knocking off the Sunbirds 19-7.
QUOTABLE
"I was very happy with our performance tonight. We played one of the top teams in our conference and they are a strong team. Our guys handled the pressure well and they never stopped working hard. Pietro stepped up and had an all-around solid game. Clay played well in the goal with 17 saves. Bodhi continues to be a presence in the center. I was also happy with our guys off the bench. Nikita, Trevor, and Ino all played strong and contributed a lot to our overall effort. We continue to grow and improve and that was one of our goals. We are better now than we were at the start of this game."– head coach
Bryan Suhovy.
