IRVINE, Calif. – The Fresno Pacific University volleyball team were visitors against Concordia on Thursday night, as the Sunbirds were swept 3-0 (25-14, 25-16, 25-19) by the Eagles. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Eagles took an early led in the opening set before taking it 25-14. 
• In the second set, the Sunbirds used a 6-2 run to go up 10-9.
• CUI erupted with a 10-2 run that helped them take the second set 25-16.
• The home team went up 12-8 early in the third set.  
• Makena Ogas had a kill that sparked an 8-3 run that put the Birds up 16-15. 
• A late run from the Eagles a 25-19 set win and a 3-0 match win.

STATS FROM THE GAME

• Corinne Acosta led the Sunbirds with nine kills and added 10 digs on the defensive end. 
• Chloe Melis was solid, racking up six kills on a .333 hitting percentage. 
• Chantel Montayre led the team with 15 digs. 
• Anastassiya Barakhoyeva had 13 digs and an ace.
