FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno Pacific University volleyball team hosted Academy of Art, Makena Ogas had 13 kills and eight total blocks, as she aided the Sunbirds to a 3-1 (25-22, 25-18, 18-25, 25-20) victory on Saturday afternoon.

We had some really tough practices this week where we pushed everyone to get better and this is the result of that hard work. HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Sunbirds opened the first set with a solid run, taking an 11-7 lead.
- The Birds maintained their lead and took the set 25-22.
- In the second set, Ogas smashed home a kill that capped a 12-5 run to open the set.
- FPU held their lead, taking the set 25-18.
- The Urban Knights put together a lengthy run in the third set, allowing them to pick it up 25-18.
- In the fourth set, ARTU went up 16-13.
- The Sunbirds answered with a 12-4 run to close out the set 25-20 and take the match 3-1.
