FRESNO, Calif. –  The Fresno Pacific University men's water polo team hosted #8 UC Davis on Saturday afternoon. The Aggies proved to be a tough test for the Sunbirds, as they fell 21-6 to the visiting squad.

"It was a tough game against a really strong UC Davis team. We had some great moments and made some solid plays. We just struggled against their depth and experience. They pressures the ball well and capitalized on our mistakes. It's part of the continued process for these guys to grow and learn." - head coach Bryan Suhovy.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Bodhi Bowden got the Sunbirds on the board in the closing seconds of the first quarter. 
• The Aggies found a rhythm early and secured a 10-1 lead at halftime. 
• Pietro Cattano scored twice in the third quarter. 
• Eugenio Maldonado scored twice in the final frame of the match.
• The Late surge wasn't enough, as the Sunbirds fell to the eighth-ranked team in the nation.  

STATS FROM THE GAME

• Bowden, Maldonado, and Cattano tied for a team-high with two goals each.
• The trio also had one assist to each of their names.
