FRESNO, Calif. - The FPU women's basketball team picked up its' second victory in as many nights on Saturday, defeating Dominican 74-66 at the Special Events Center.
Felicia Dourva turned in a season-high 20 points to pace the Sunbird offense, while
Bayli McClard poured in a double-double with 16 points and 15 rebounds.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Blue and Orange jumped out to an 18-11 lead over the game's first ten minutes, with seven Sunbirds finding the bottom of the net in that stretch.
- FPU connected on 42% from the first half to carry a 9-point lead into the break.
- Dominican opened the second half on a 14-2 run to force the Sunbirds into taking a timeout before a Dourva layup broke the trend.
- Rachel Berry hauled in a defensive rebound late in the third quarter and went coast-to-coast to put the Sunbirds up a point.
- Fresno Pacific followed with a strong final chapter, outscoring their guests 23-14 in the fourth.
STATS FROM THE GAME:
- Dourva matched Dominican's Errayanna Hatfield for a game-high in points, while three other Sunbird players scored in double-figures.
- McClard helped FPU outrebound Dominican 48-31, while each team committed 14 turnovers.
- Berry scored 10 points, while pulling down eight rebounds.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- McClard's double-double was her second of the week.
- FPU has now won five straight against Dominican.
- The Sunbirds have opened PacWest play with back-to-back wins for the second consecutive season.
