TURLOCK, Calif. – The Fresno Pacific women's tennis team picked up yet another victory on Saturday, defeating Stanislaus State 6-1 on the road. The Sunbirds are now 9-0 for the first time since the 2011-12 season.
 
INSIDE THE MATCHUP:

HOW IT HAPPENED:  

• The doubles duo of Mariia Borodii and Lea Falentin took care of business with a 6-2 win in the top flight, and Alice Di Matteo and Sanne Brull teamed up for a 6-1 victory in the second to give FPU the doubles point. 
• The Sunbirds forfeited the first singles point of the day due to injury.
• Falentin came up with a 6-0, 6-2 victory in #2 singles to put the Sunbirds in front 2-1, and Borodii followed with a 6-3, 6-1 victory in the top flight.
• Di Matteo went 6-3, 6-3 in #3 singles, and Marques picked up a 6-2, 6-4 victory in the fifth flight to make it a 5-1 FPU lead.
• Brull closed out the day with a 6-4, 6-2 victory in the fourth flight.

 
BEYOND THE BOX:   

• The Sunbirds are ranked 23rd in the most recent edition of the ITA Rankings. 
• Brull, Di Matteo, and Falentin are a combined 21-0 in singles action so far this season.
