FULLERTON, Calif. – The Fresno Pacific women's tennis team extended the win streak to ten matches on Monday afternoon, defeating Hope International 6-1 on the road.
 
INSIDE THE MATCHUP:

HOW IT HAPPENED:  

• The tandem of Sanne Brull and Alice Di Matteo picked up a 6-1 victory in #2 doubles, and Mariia Borodii teamed up with Lea Falentin gave FPU the doubles point with a 6-2 win in the top flight. 
• FPU entered the match down a player because of injury.
• Brull was the first to wrap up singles action with a 6-0, 6-1 victory in the fourth flight to give the 'Birds a 2-1 lead, and Borodii made quick work in the top flight with a 6-0, 6-1 win.
• Alice Marques won #5 singles 6-2, 6-2, and Falentin followed with a 6-3, 6-3 in the second flight.
• Di Matteo was the last FPU player to conclude singles action, picking up a 6-3, 6-0 victory in the third flight to make it a 6-1 lead.

 
BEYOND THE BOX:   

• The Sunbirds are ranked 23rd in the most recent edition of the ITA Rankings. 
• Brull, Di Matteo, and Falentin are a combined 24-0 in singles action so far this season.
