SAN RAFAEL, Calif. – The Fresno Pacific women's tennis team picked up a 7-0 road victory over Dominican on Friday, picking up the seventh straight victory to open the season. 
 
INSIDE THE MATCHUP:

HOW IT HAPPENED:  

• The top doubles duo of Mariia Borodii and Lea Falentin picked up a 6-0 win over Kaitlyn Nguyen and Kamar Alajeely to start the day.
• Ioanna Lathouri and Alice Di Matteo followed with a 6-3 victory in the second flight to give FPU the point. Sanne Brull and Alice Marques were on the brink of a victory at the time of completion, leading the third flight 5-2. 
• Falentin made quick work of Taylor Kim in #2 singles, picking up back-to-back 6-0 wins. 
• Borodii followed with a 6-1, 6-0 victory in the top flight to put the Blue and Orange up 3-0, and Di Matteo gave FPU the clinching point with a 6-1, 6-2 win in the fourth flight. 
• Lathouri picked up a 6-3, 6-1 victory over Ofelia Lopez Camarena in #3 singles, and Brull then won the fifth flight by a score of 6-4, 6-1.
• Marques finished off the sweep with a 7-5, 6-0 victory in #6 singles, and the 'Birds left with two victories in as many days. 

 
BEYOND THE BOX:  

• The Sunbirds are ranked 23rd in the most recent edition of the ITA Rankings.  
• Brull, Di Matteo, Falentin and Lathouri are a combined 24-0 in singles action so far this season.  
• FPU has played four matches in the Bay Area this season and has won them by a combined score of 26-1.
