FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno Pacific men's basketball team was tripped up against Biola on Monday, falling 77-72 at the Special Events Center. The Sunbirds celebrated Black History Month ahead of the game, wearing shirts sporting the Fresno skyline, a quote from Martin Luther King, Jr. and names of prominent historical African-American figures.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• The Sunbirds struggled in the early going, finding themselves down by as many as 21 in the first half.
• A Raine McKeython triple and an Adrian Antunez jumper helped FPU cut the deficit to 11 heading to the break.
• The Blue and Orange clawed their way back in the second half, taking a one-point lead on a fast break layup from Jonathan Brown with 12:20 to play.
• The two teams went back-and-forth down the stretch until FPU was forced to play the foul game, allowing Biola to escape with the win. 

 
STATS FROM THE GAME:

• Adrian Antunez led all scorers with 19 points, while Aamondae Coleman and Nate Kendricks followed with 16 and 11 respectively.
• FPU committed just five turnovers for the night, the lowest mark among any PacWest Conference team in any game this season.      

 
BEYOND THE BOX:

• The loss officially eliminates the Sunbirds from postseason contention.
