INSIDE THE MATCHUP:
- Final: SJSU 87, FPU 79
- Location: Kaiser Permanente Arena | Santa Cruz, Calif.
QUOTABLE:
- "I told the team that we are really impressed with their ability to make adjustments and get stops in the half court, which is what we needed to do. Offensively, we did not shoot it well all night, but we got some stuff around the rim to go and got to the free throw line a little bit. There aren't enough good things to say about our student-athletes. The lack of preparation did not phase them because of their togetherness, their ability to learn on the fly with us and their maturity. Moving forward, we're just going to count our blessings that we get to play." – fifth-year head Coach C.J. Haydock
