FRESNO, CALIF. – The Sunbirds still on the hunt for their second PacWest Conference win hosted the Vulcans in Monday night at the Special Events Center. Although FPU battled hard and almost took the third set UHH still managed to sweep the 'Birds.
 
INSIDE THE MATCH UPS:
Final: Fresno Pacific 0, Hawai'i Hilo 3
Set Score: 19-25, 15-25, 28-30
Records: FPU (2-13), UHH (7-5)   
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:

• The Vulcans came out ready to play in the first set as they took an 18-13 lead and never looked back.
• UHH continued their momentum into the second set jumping out to a 14-11 lead. The Sunbirds managed to get four more points on the board before the Vulcans took set number two.
• The third set went back and forth but the Sunbirds managed to take the lead on a few separate occasions. UHH was the first to 25 in the third set but FPU did not go away easily as they forced the Vulcans into playing five extra points. 

 
STATS OF THE MATCH:

• Freshmen Corinne Acosta and Makena Ogas each had nine kills for the Sunbirds.
• Anastassiya Barakoyeva had a career high of 15 digs in the loss.
• Mikayla Kennedy had a team high four blocks for the Sunbirds.
