FRESNO, CALIF. – Fresno Pacific hosted Hawai'i Pacific in their third straight home match on Saturday, September 28
th in the Special Events Center. The Sharks took the match in three straight sets.
 
INSIDE THE MATCH UPS: 
Final: Fresno Pacific 0, Hawai'i Pacific 3
Set Score: 20-25, 20-25, 15-25
Records: FPU (2-12), HPU (6-5)   
 
HOW IT HAPPENED: 
	- The Sharks and Sunbirds battled in the opening set of the match, but HPU would be able to take a 23-20 lead and then seal the deal with back-to-back points to earn the first set.
- In the second set HPU took a quick 10-2 lead, FPU managed to close the gap and make it 20-22 but the Sharks would push three-points across and take set number two.
- The third set was very back and forth between HPU and FPU, however the Birds were never able to keep a lead. HPU pulled ahead to 23-13 but the 'Birds made the Sharks work for their last two points before being swept.

	- Freshman Corinne Acosta's older sister Amanda Acosta is Hawai'i Pacific's libero. Corinne managed to ace her sister in her first serve of the match.
