SAN RAFAEL, CALIF. – The Sunbirds looking to extend their win streak to three-straight wins as they took on Dominican on Saturday, September 21^st.  Unfortunately, the Sunbirds were only able to take one set from the Penguins.
 
INSIDE THE MATCH UPS:
Final: Fresno Pacific 1, Dominican 3
Set Score: 22-25, 19-25, 25-23, 20-25
Records: FPU (2-9), DU (1-6)   
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:

• The opening set of the match was back and forth for the Sunbirds and Penguins but resulted in a win for Dominican. Set two also went to the Penguins.
• Fresno Pacific fought back in the third set and managed to take it from Dominican. 
• Dominican bounced back though and secured the win by taking the fourth set.

 
STATS OF THE MATCH:

• Jaalyn Sota-Stuebing led the Sunbirds in hitting percentage with a .316 resulting in eight kills she also added five blocks. Freshman Makena Ogas had a team high of 13 kills for FPU.
• On the backrow Sierra LeBeau totaled a team high of 24 digs.  
• The Sunbirds and Penguins were almost identical in every statistical category.
