AZUSA, Calif. – The Fresno Pacific track and field program turned in another strong performance at the Bryan Clay Invitational. In the final tune-up before the PacWest Championships, FPU saw three school records fall while also picking up a number of personal and lifetime bests.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Men
•
Andrew Morin had another solid week in the pole vault, clearing 4.80m once again and claiming seventh overall at the meet.
•
Sadiki Morgan jumped a season-best 14.19m in the triple jump. The mark ranks amongst the best in the PacWest, which bodes well with the conference meet just one week away.
•
Jalen Harris turned in season bests in the 400m and 200m, going 49.32 and 22.25, respectively.
• At the Long Beach Invitational, AJ Wolfert recorded a personal record in the 5k (15:37) while teammate
Chandler Maciel clocked 15:26.94 at the BCI.

Women
•
Danae Manibog claimed the top time in FPU history for the 400m, clocking 54.10. The mark ranks her first in the NCAA DII West Region and fifth among national DII competition.
•
Brie Courseault was hot on her heels, sprinting to a lifetime-best 54.22 in the same event. Her mark ranks second in the NCAA DII West Region and sixth among national DII marks.
•
Chloe Sharp logged a big lifetime best in the 400m, winning her heat in 55.99. Her time was just three hundredths of a second shy of a DII provisional qualifier.
• In the 200m race, Courseault showed up big, clocking a lifetime best 23.83 that was slightly wind aided. While the mark does not cue an improvement to her school record, it will be good enough to send her to nationals next month.
• Also in the 200m:
Madison Flores hit 24.36, moving up to third all-time for FPU,
Kala McClain turned in a season-best 24.86 and
Kyra Bailey ran a lifetime best 24.92.
• The 100m dash was highlighted by McClain's 12.00, a season best, as well as
Hannah Arnold's 12.04, a lifetime best.
• The 4x100 relay team consisting of Courseault, Flores, Manibog and Arnold set a new school record (46.15). The time vaults FPU into the top ten in the national DII rankings.
•
Nikki Crouch improved her school record in the pole vault, breaking 12 feet for the first time en route to a final clearance of 12-03.5.
•
Haley Romero hit season bests in the long jump (5.46m) and triple jump (11.15m).
• At the Long Beach Invitational,
Kristi Yorke cleared a lifetime best 10-10.75 in the pole vault.
BEYOND THE FINISH LINE:
• Final tally: six provisional qualifiers and three new school records.
• With the PacWest Championships one week away, the Sunbirds are right where they want to be, gearing up for what looks to be quite a showdown for the title.
