SURPRISE, Ariz. – The Fresno Pacific women's tennis team was tripped up on Friday afternoon, falling 4-1 at the hands of Point Loma in the consolation bracket of the PacWest Championships.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
• The tandem of
Ioanna Lathouri and
Gaya Solomon picked up a 6-3 victory in the top doubles flight, but the Sea Lions took the first and third flights and the first point of the day.Â
• PLNU's Taylor McGowan wrapped up #4 singles with a 6-2, 6-1 victory over
Imane Van Veen before
Claudia Iglesias fell 6-3, 7-5 in the sixth flight.Â
• Lathouri went to three sets with Gabi Armas before winning the final set 6-2 for FPU's first point.Â

Marina Lex forced Shelby Groenveld to three sets before falling 6-2, giving the Sea Lions the clinch.

Alice Di Matteo and
Sanne Brull were each in the middle of their respective third sets at the time of Point Loma's fourth point.Â
