SURPRISE, Ariz. – The Fresno Pacific women's tennis team dropped a tight match in Saturday's season finale, falling 4-3 to Concordia in the seventh-place game of the PacWest Championships.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
• The Eagles took the first two doubles matches to earn the point, while the duo of
Alice Di Matteo and
Sanne Brull was on the brink of closing out the third flight.

Claudia Iglesias took down Ghada Al-ajeely 6-0, 6-2 in the sixth flight to give Fresno Pacific its' first point of the day, but Ghazal Pakbaten answered with a 6-1, 6-1 defeat of
Marina Lex in the top flight to put Concordia back in front.
• Samantha Schuster knocked off FPU's Brull 6-2, 6-3 in the fifth flight, while
Ioanna Lathouri won #2 singles with 6-4, 6-3 to make it a 3-2 Eagle lead.
• Di Matteo made it interesting with a 6-4, 6-4 victory over Lisa Suzuki in the third flight to pull the score even, but Johanna Keeline defeated
Imane Van Veen 6-2, 7-5 in the fourth set to give CUI the final point.
BEYOND THE BOX:
• FPU wraps up the season in eighth place in the PacWest Conference standings.
