SURPRISE, Ariz. – The Fresno Pacific women's tennis team was tripped up in the quarterfinal round of the PacWest Conference Championships on Thursday, falling 4-0 against Academy of Art.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
• The Urban Knights took the doubles point with two victories, though
Ioanna Lathouri and
Gaya Solomon were only down 4-3 in the top flight at the time of the finish.

Claudia Iglesias fell in the sixth flight by a final of Paula Alcantara to give ARTU a 2-0 lead, and
Imane Van Veen fell in the fourth flight 6-1, 6-0
• In the final completed match of the afternoon,
Marina Lex dropped the top flight 6-2, 6-0 against nationally-ranked Klara Thell-Lenntorp.
• Lathouri was down a set in the second flight, while Di Matteo had just started her second set after a 7-5 victory in the first at the time of the clinch.
BEYOND THE BOX:
• The Urban Knights have been ranked in the top ten in the nation for the bulk of the season.
• The Sunbirds still have the fewest amount of losses of any PacWest Conference team.
