SAN RAFAEL, Calif. – A day after picking up the season sweep of Holy Names, the Fresno Pacific women's tennis team defeated Dominican for the second time by a final of 7-0. The Sunbirds improve to 9-2 with the win, including a mark of 6-2 against opponents in the PacWest Conference.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
• The Sunbirds swept doubles play to earn the first point of the afternoon.

Claudia Iglesias was the first to wrap up her singles match, making quick work of Nicole Bermudez in the sixth flight.

Ioanna Lathouri came away with a 6-3, 6-1 win in the singles flight, and
Marina Lex knocked off Kaitlyn Nguyen 6-4, 6-2 in the top flight to earn the clinching point.

Imane Van Veen then won the fourth flight 6-2, 6-3 before
Alice Di Matteo defeated Alex Wartenberg 10-8 in a hard-fought third set in #3 singles.

Sanne Brull finished off the sweep with a 6-4, 7-5 victory in the final flight.
BEYOND THE BOX:
• FPU has swept opponents five times this season, including Dominican on two occasions.
• The Sunbirds are at home for the rest of the regular season.
• At 9-2, FPU still has less losses than any team in the PacWest Conference.
