QUOTABLE:
"After two weeks off, we were eager to compete today and it showed. We worked hard on doubles and on our chemistry on the court, and I feel like that paid off today. We knew Hawai'i Hilo would be a tough team, but we played good matches and are getting mentally stronger each and every day." - head coach Priscilla Jensen

HOW IT HAPPENED:
• FPU made quick work of the Vulcans in doubles action, taking all three matches for the first point of the day.
• Gaya Solomon was the first Sunbird to wrap up her singles match, falling to Carmelle Joyner 6-1, 6-3 in the fourth flight.
• Claudia Iglesias and Sanne Brull took down their opponents in the sixth and fifth flights respectively, and Alice Di Matteo's second flight was the clincher for the Blue and Orange.
• Marina Lex won her first set 7-5, and Imane Van Veen was up 2-0 in the third set before both matches went unfinished.
