IRVINE, Calif. – The Fresno Pacific women's basketball team picked up another PacWest Conference victory on Thursday night, defeating Concordia 78-66 on the road. The Sunbirds have now won three straight league games and have defeated the Eagles in both meetings this season.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
• Julia LoCastro controlled the opening tip, but the Eagles came away with the first bucket of the game at the other end.
• Concordia carried a 19-11 lead into the second quarter, but the Blue and Orange bounced back to head to the intermission tied at 35.
• Jessica Malazarte opened the second half with a three, and the 'Birds began to hit their offensive stride.

Bree Alvarez jumper put FPU in front for good with 4:30 left in the third, allowing the Sunbirds to maintain a comfortable lead for the duration of the game.
STATS FROM THE GAME:
• Alvarez led all scorers with 22 points as one of four Sunbirds in double-figures, while Riley Friauf and Grace Smith each gave the Eagles a double-double.
• Fresno Pacific hit on 54% from behind the arc, setting a new season-best.
• Concordia controlled the glass 51-38, but the Sunbirds won the turnover battle by a margin of 15-10.
