IRVINE, CALIF.  – Fresno Pacific hoping to bounce back after falling to Biola the night before traveled to Concordia to take on the Eagles. Last time CU and FPU met up was in September in the Special Events Center. Unfortunately, the 'Birds were unable to take down the Eagles in Irvine.
 
INSIDE THE MATCH UPS:
Final: Fresno Pacific 0, Concordia 3
Set Score: 22-25, 23-25, 19-25
Records: FPU (4-23), CU (14-10)   
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:

• The 'Birds and Eagles went back-and-forth in the opening set of the night as they traded turns leading. CU pulled away and secured the win as they scored four straight points to close out the set.  
• Set number two was very similar as the Eagles and Sunbirds went point for point until CU went on a four-point run to put some distance between themselves and the Sunbirds.
• FPU fought back though as they went on a four-point run to tie the set at 22 points each. However, the Eagles managed to push three-points and take the second set as well.  
• CU kept their momentum into the third set as they pulled away early on in the set and secured the three set win over the Birds.

 
STATS OF THE MATCH:

• Miska Legatova and Makena Ogas had a team high of eight kills while Corinne Acosta added seven for the 'Birds.   
• Senior Christina Tran had a game high of three aces while adding 16 assists.
