BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – Finishing up their final exhibition game of the season the Sunbirds traveled to Cal State Bakersfield for an afternoon competition.
"We had some really good stretches today against a super talented team. I feel like we had a few minutes in the first and second quarter where their pressure and length rattled us. As we calmed down and made better decisions with our passes, we played solid basketball. I was most impressed with our ability to adjust at half and put together a better final stretch of the game, especially defensively. We still have a lot of work to do and look forward to a great stretch of practices for the first time in a while. We know we have a bunch of great basketball to be played in the near future. We look forward to seeking out that basketball and staying hungry in the process," said head coach Tim Beauregard.
