AZUSA, CALIF. – The Fresno Pacific women's tennis team traveled to the ITA West Regional Championships for a three-day tournament. 
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:

Singles

• - Ioanna Lathouri won her opening draw over Hoerter of Holly Names to then take on Neilson of Point Loma. Lathouri managed to get by Neilson but fell to number one ranked Pakbaten of Concordia. 
• - Alice Di Matteo squared off with Bermudez of Dominican in her opening match and beat her to advance. Di Matteo fell in the second round with number four ranked Andrisani of Academy of Art.
• - Freshman Lea Falentin opened up her college career with a win over UCSD's Bhadada and kept her momentum into her second set as she defeated Sagara of Cal State Los Angeles. Falentin then fell to number five ranked Wagner of Azusa Pacific but not after taking a set from her.

Doubles   

• - Ioanna Lathouri and Lea Falentin took down Sonoma State's Spinder and Huk in their first match as doubles partners. They kept their momentum as they then defeated Isaac and Nguyen of Staninslaus. Lathouri and Falentin then defeated No. 1 seeded doubles team Armas and Gamble of Point Loma 8-7(2) to advance to the semi-finals. The duo fell in the semis 8-6 to No. 4 ranked Savchenko and Ivankovic of Azusa Pacific. 
• - Hardija Vidnere and Sanne Brull won their opening match as a duo over Akfonain and Highsmith of Sonoma State but dropped their second match to No.3 raked Wagner and Page of Azusa Pacific.
