FRESNO, CALIF. – Fresno Pacific hosted Point Loma in their sixth straight home match of the season. The Sea Lions managed to sweep the set and collected their eighth win of the season.
INSIDE THE MATCH UPS:

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- - The Sea Lions jumped out to an early lead of 9-4 over the Sunbirds. FPU fought back though and managed to take the lead from the 'Lions for a just a couple points. PLNU however pulled away once again and took the first set 25-20.
- - Roles reversed in the second set as the Sunbirds took an early lead of 5-0 on the Sea Lions. However, FPU was unable to hang onto their lead as PLNU stole it from them and went up 15-14. The 'Birds would take it back and lead once again but the 'Lions did not give up and ended up taking the second set after a long battle.
- - The third set played out very similar to the fist as PLNU took an early lead and would end up closing out the match with a 3-0 sweep.
STATS OF THE MATCH:
- - Junior Jaalyn Sotoa-Stuebing lead the way for the 'Birds with a hitting percentage of .667 and six kills.
- - Miska Legatova added a team high of eight kills while Makena Ogas followed closely behind with seven.
- - On the backline Sierra LeBeau had a team high of 21 digs.
- - The Sunbirds had a season high of 14 blocks in the match.
