FRESNO, CALIF. – Fresno Pacific hosted Academy of Art in their final home game of their six- game home stand. The Sunbirds looked to pick up a win before they travel to Hawaii but fell short after battling with the Knights for five sets.
 
INSIDE THE MATCH UPS:

Set Score: 22-25, 17-25, 27-25, 25-19, 10-15
Records: FPU (2-16), AAU (6-11)   
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:

• - The Knights took the first game of the set after going back-and-forth with the Sunbirds. 
• - Art continued their momentum into the second set as they took game two 25-17.  
• - Set three was a different story for the two as the Sunbirds with their backs against the wall extended the set to a couple points past 25 and would also force a fourth set with a win in game three.
• - FPU came out ready to play in the fourth set as they took the fourth set and forced a fifth.
• - AAU however bounced back and took the fifth set from the 'Birds to secure the win.

 
STATS OF THE MATCH:

• - The 'Birds had three players with double digits in kills: Makena Ogas (12), Corinne Acosta (11), and Miska Legatova (10).
• - Mikayla Kennedy collected eight kills with a team high hitting percentage of .292.
• - On the backline Sierra LeBeau and Acosta each managed 28 digs for FPU.
