SANTA CRUZ, CALIF. – The Fresno Pacific women's tennis team competed in their second competition of the fall season at the Slug Invitational. FPU came out of the invite with two titles as they won the singles and doubles.
Ioanna Lathouri won the singles championship and the duo of
Léa Falentin and Lathouri won the doubles bracket.
"This is our second year participating at the UCSC Slugs Invitational and this year we brought home the singles and doubles titles. On top of that, we had to play each other in the semifinals and finals," said head coach
Priscilla Jensen.
It was a great way to see what they have practiced on the FPU courts every day and then see how ready we are in a competition. We have a lot to work on, but we are going in the right direction and are showing a lot of grit, team spirit and carry a united front, just how I envisioned it," continued Jensen.
