SAN FRANCISCO, CALIF.  – Fresno Pacific traveled up to the Bay to take on the Academy of Art on Saturday, October 26^th. The 'Birds and Knights squared off just a couple weeks ago when AAU traveled to Fresno and took down the FPU five sets. This time around the Knights defeated the Sunbirds in three.  
 
INSIDE THE MATCH UPS:
Final: Fresno Pacific. 0, Academy of Art 3
Set Score: 20-25, 20-25, 25-27
Records: FPU (3-20), AAU (8-13)   
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:

• - The Sunbirds and Knights went back-and-forth for the most of the first set. AAU pulled away in the last few points as they collected three-straight kills to earn the win in the first set.
• - Set number two started out a little different as the Kights took an early 8-2 lead over the Sunbirds. AAU managed to keep FPU at arms distance the rest of the set and took set number two after back-to-back kills.
• - FPU got off to a quick start in the third set as Christina Tran started out with an ace and Makena Ogas followed with a kill. The 'Birds and Knights traded back-and-forth with the lead for most of the set. FPU pushed four-straight points off of two kills by Ogas and one by Miska Legatova before falling to Knights 25-27.  

 
STATS OF THE MATCH:

• - Makena Ogas lead the way in kills for the Sunbirds as she had 10. Christina Tran, Jaalyn Sotoa-Stuebing, and Corinne Acosta each added seven for FPU.
• - FPU had a game high of nine blocks and four aces in the match
