FRESNO, CALIF. – After a long week of playing on the islands FPU returned home to take on Holy Names in the Special Events Center. The 'Birds earned a three-set sweep over the Hawks lead by senior
Christina Tran's triple-double.
INSIDE THE MATCH UPS:

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- - The Sunbirds dominated the first set as they took 12-6 lead early on. FPU scored the last four points of the match and took the set on a kill by Makena Ogas.
- - Set number two started out a little different as the 'Birds started behind and had to work back to take the lead from the Hawks. A kill by Ogas gave FPU a 10-9 lead and they would keep it the rest of the set.
- - FPU got off to a quick start in the third set as they went up 9-4 on the HNU, although the Hawks fought back the 'Birds were able to keep them at arm- length and secure the three-set sweep.
STATS OF THE MATCH:
- - Senior Christina Tran lead the way for the Sunbirds as she totaled 10 kills, 14 digs and 19 assists.
- - Corinne Acosta added 10 kills and 13 digs, while Makena Ogas contributed eight kills.
- - FPU's attacking percentage was a season high of .296 on the match.
- - The 'Birds totaled six solo blocks and eight blocking assists in the win.
